Requirements for Departmental Computers

When departments need to order specific computer hardware, software, or printers; contact User Support Services to consult with USS staff or refer to this web page for requirements. USS has access to discounted pricing from certain vendors, which departments can utilize as new purchases become necessary. For evaluations and vendor recommendations, please call the User Support Services at 503.725.HELP.

Below are USS recommended minimum hardware configurations for computers and printers.

Minimum Windows Hardware

  • Intel Pentium IV 2.4 GHz
  • 1 GB of memory
  • 40 GB hard drive
  • 32x DVD-ROM
  • LCD flat panel monitor
