Accessing PSU Computer Account Directories Off-Campus using Windows

Your ODIN account provides you with file storage that you can securely access from any computer that is connected to the internet. PSU maintains a website that you can use to get to these files when you need them.

To access network drives from off-campus, Windows users can navigate to myfiles.pdx.edu using Internet Explorer. The site will prompt for your ODIN username and password, as in the screen capture below.

Once you have been authenticated, you will be able to upload and download files to your H: and I: drives and PSU UNIX Web folder using a familiar Windows-style drag and drop interface, as in the screen capture below.

Note that, while other browsers will allow you to download your content, only Internet Explorer will allow you to upload files.

You may also use a secure FTP client, such as FileZilla or WinSCP, to access myfiles. Simply use sftp.myfiles.pdx.edu as a server address, Port address of "22", and your ODIN username and password to log in.

Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility Issues

Note that, currently, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 does not support the full functionality of Myfiles. If you are using this software, you will be able to download files, but not upload or use the Windows Explorer drag-and-drop interface as described above. Microsoft is aware of the issue and a patch resolving it is expected in the future.
